Jose L. Oliva worked for Ameriprise Financial Advisors from 1994-2000 as a planning assistant for Reid, Godinez, Avina and Associates. Alumni at LA Mission College graduated with Associates in June 2004. As a student at LA Mission College, Jose was involved as ASO Treasurer 2000-2001 and ASO President 2001-2002. Jose Oliva helped establish the TELACU Scholarships with the help of Professor John Morales and the LA Mission College Foundation.
With ASO we were able to raise funds and toys through Toys for Tots Golf Tournament, sponsored by LAMC ASO, LAMC Foundation and the Marine Corp. Collaborated in the first annual Spring Fest and Dinner by the Fountain with the help of LAMC Culinary and staff of Mission College.
Transferred to UC Santa Barbara and received Bachelors in Global Studies with the emphasis in Socioeconomic in June 2004. September 2005 - September 2007, was fortunate enough to return to Ameriprise Financial Advisors with Reid, Godinez, Avina and Associates.
In September 2007 decided to become an independent representative with AXA Advisors, LLC and currently working closely with schools and non-profit organizations and help establish their retirement benefits and other resources in the financial field.
