Richard Pocrass, CEO has more than forty years of extensive marketing and product development experience in the computer and telecommunications industries.

When Chocolates à la Carte ® was established in 1986, Richard was instrumental in the initial development.  His high technology background helped him develop an insulated container for chocolates that allowed the company to begin shipping nationwide in 1987. Additionally, he developed the company's marketing strategy and created a strategic database computer system. Richard was appointed as CEO of Chocolates à la Carte ® in 1989.  He is responsible for financial, marketing and strategic planning duties.
     
Before Chocolates à la Carte®, for seventeen years, Richard was the principal and managing partner of his own executive search firm, Pocrass Associates. He also served as president of Health Technology, Inc., which provided systems consulting for computerized fraud and abuse systems. Additionally, he was instrumental in the development of electronic banking systems to the bank, petroleum and retail industries for Data Source Corporation (subsidiary Hercules, Inc.). Other positions were as regional manager for NCR Corporation and as vice president marketing for a nuclear instrumentation firm, Nanosecond Systems. 

Richard has a B.S. in mathematics, an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh and has studied personnel and organizational development at UCLA on the graduate level. He is a member of the Chief Executive Officers Club, and Los Angeles Rotary Club. Richard is on the Board of Directors of Los Angeles Mission College Foundation, Providence Holy Cross Medical Center Foundation, and Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP).
